How to screen record on your laptop

Day 1

Today, I learned how to screen record on my laptop
Screen recording was something I had wanted to learn from long time.
After watching several videos that included screen recording, I always wondered, "How did they do that?". Eager to learn this , I finally started exploring and understanding the process. .

Screen Recording helps you capture anything displayed on your screen or a specific area you choose. It's especially useful in creating education videos , share gaming , or recording the content tutorials.

What I have found that there are two main ways to record your screen.
Most modern laptops come with a built-in screen recording feature weather using Windows or Mac.
Alternatively, you can use third party software to record your screen .

Record any part of your screen (or whole screen ) with screen recorder Snipping Tool

Snipping Tool it is a part of Windows 11 . You can Capture Snapshot , Record Videos and Edit at same time where as in Mac you can do so with Quick Timer Player.
  • To open Snipping Tool in Windows , simply search for it in the Start menu Search box Or Press (Windows + Shift + S) shortcut to open Snipping Tool with keyboard

Snipping Tool
  • In The Top Section Press Video Camera icon Record Button and Click on "(+)" icon to capture New Recording.
To Screen Record

  • The same is used if you want to take screen shot click on "Camera icon" & "(+)" to capture new screen shot

  • Simply click and drag to select the specific part of your screen you want to record.
  • Press Start you  will see 3 Second Count Down Begin
  • After Finishing , press Stop. The recording can be copied to the clipboard, shared through the Share dialog, or saved—by default, it will be stored in the Videos folder."
This is the easiest way I have found so as beginner level things I learned about snipping tool is
  • In-Built features V/S Other Software: The built-in screen recorder can capture only one application at a time, whereas third-party software allows you to record multiple applications or switch between browsers seamlessly.
  • Snipping Tool offers limited editing feature to edit video.
  • Available format is only VLC Media Player
  • No Shortcut to jump directly to record video like screen shot (Windows + Shift + S)
The best part is that you can record audio while capturing your screen, making it easy for beginners to get started.

Thank you
